Great Sand Dunes National Park, CO was the highlight of Day 2 of our US Road Trip 2026. We started the day in Buena Vista, CO and drove south along Rocky Mountains ranges. We detoured a bit to Zapata Falls, where I hiked at my highest elevation up to that point, and finally admired the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. The day ended in Taos, NM. [POL] Park

One year after my first "America the Beautiful" road trip, I am back on the road in Southwest US. This time we are a group of 9 and will drive 5,000km across Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah.
